The initial information for the 2014 Motorcycle Cannonball has been announced, and I plan on riding my dirty 1936 VLH (Very Leaky Harley?) Harley and following the progress in the pages of American Iron Magazine.
The brief details of the event are as follows:
100 motorcycles from 1936 or earlier to compete. Currently the field is filled with a waiting list.
$2,500 entry fee.
The 17 day ride, which starts September 5, 2014, is over 4,100 miles from Daytona Beach, FL to Tacoma, WA. It will be, by far, the most challenging Motorcycle Cannonball to date averaging over 300 miles a day over all types of conditions and temperatures.
