After sitting for several years I am making good progress in sorting and pepping my 1948 Harley Panhead to ride to Milwaukee for Harley’s 110th anniversary party on the American Iron Magazine Honor Ride in August.

I plan to be leading the classic group on the American Iron Magazine Honor Ride, sponsored by GEICO. Details at http://www.aimag.com/2013/07/american-iron-magazine-honor-ride-to-milwaukee-for-harleys-110th-anniversary/.
I have drained the old gas, cleaned up much of the painted tins (gas tank and fenders) and swapped out the hard and crusty black seat and saddlebags for these stunning brown hand tooled ones.
I plan to install a new sealed 6-volt battery I just got, add some oil and gas and see if I can get it to run this week. If so, I need to get it registered and back on the road to get in 1,000 break in miles before the ride to Milwaukee.
Hope to see lots of other classic Harleys on the road and at Milwaukee.
