Classic Harley Ride To Milwaukee For Harley’s 110th Birthday Party

OK, I think I have my travel plans to Sturgis pretty close to wrapped up. So now I need to figure out what I am riding to Harley’s 110th birthday party. We at American Iron MagazineMotorcycle Bagger and RoadBike are putting together a free ride for our readers to go to Milwaukee the end of August. One group of motorcycle riders from the west and one from the east meeting in the middle and heading north to Milwaukee.

Full details on the American Iron Magazine Honor Ride to follow shortly, but we do have planned stops at Harley dealers along the way where you can join up with us for a visit or a short ride, or to ride the entire distance. The more the better!

Motorcycle Bagger editor Dain Gingerelli will be leading the ride in from the west, and American Iron Magazine editor Chris Maida will lead one ride from the East.

I (Buzz Kanter) will be leading a slower paced ride from the east for classic bikes and anyone wanting a more casual pace. Now I have to figure out what old Harley to ride.

I am considering a dirty old 1948 Harley Panhead we did a series of articles on in American Iron Magazine a few years ago called the Crustoration.

Everyone should have such problems!

I would like to take the slower ride with Buzz on the classic bikes ride. Let me know if it is possible with dates and stops along the way.I rode a little with him on kickstart classic in South Carolina.

The East ride (and classic bikes) meet the evening of August 26 at AD Farrow’s Harley-Davidson outside Columbus, OH and pull out the next morning. East & West groups meet the afternoon of August 27 in Peoria, IL and then ride into Milwaukee to arrive the next day. More details to follow shortly.
